C-423 KPE, from PIE expressway to Eunos Link, snakes under the Kallang River Canal and between housing estates. The 35m wide expressway is being fitted in between a 50m wide corridor. The Kallang River Canal has to be diverted, initially north bound and then on top of the completed section of the KPE tunnel south bound.

The Kallang Paya Lebar (KPE) expressway is "One of the toughest projects in the world" according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) review board of five international experts including Dr. Victor Milligan from Canada and Professor Robert Mair from Cambridge. (The Straits Times Monday 23 August 2004)
Kian Hock is the sub-contractor for the KPE sheet piling works (partially) under Samsung Corporation and THL Foundation Pte Ltd for C423.

CL 825 runs from Marina Square to Dhoby Ghaut with four stations at Dhoby Ghaut, Museum Station, Convention Centre Station and Millennium Station. Sheetpiling works along Nicoll Highway and Raffles Boulevard have been installed. Kian Hock is the sub-contractor for sheetpiling works under Zhao Yang Geotecnic Pte Ltd and Woh Hup-NCC JV.

C-424 KPE, Eunos Link along Airport Road to Tampines Road, runs along the Paya Lebar Airport Road and construction equipment like cranes with tall boom lengths have to be closely monitored and equipped with special checked flags as signal to aircraft in the area. Kian Hock is the sub-contractor for sheetpiling works under Tasei Corporation.
